Zayn Malik logged on to Twitter on Tuesday (Mar. 7) to give fans a "lil taster" of new music he's working on, while promising that there would be "more to come."

It's been nearly a year since the former One Direction member released his first solo album, Mind of Mine, late last March. The album was well-received by critics, and went on to sell nearly a half a million copies in the US and 70,000 copies in the UK.

Zayn most recently collaborated with Taylor Swift on the track "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" from the movie 50 Shades Darker.

The 24-year-old singer-songwriter also released an autobiography last year titled Zayn which chronicled his life as a boy band member.

“I feel like writing anything down is kind of a little bit of a therapy process,” he told The Elvis Duran Show.

“It’s just a way of alleviating something that’s on your mind and getting it out there. So for me it was kind of a little bit of that, and I enjoyed it. It was fun to reminisce on things and think of what was bad and what was good and make sense of it all, because I didn’t feel like I really had time to do that in the band.”
