NBC is rarely one to learn the right lessons from success, so how best to follow a thriving Will & Grace revival? Why, undoing any goodwill from The Office series finale, of course, and plotting an official revival for the 2018-19 season!

We’re still reeling the loss of Star Wars legend and all-around treasure Carrie Fisher, though as tends to be the case with departed stars, their upcoming projects will help uphold their legacy. In addition to completing her work on Star Wars Episode VIII, Fisher had also recorded several 2017 episodes of Family Guy, and completed her role in Season 3 of the UK’s Catastrophe.

Once upon a time, Alec Baldwin thought he might get to retire his SNL rendition of Donald Trump, as the world moved on with a Clinton presidency. Now, over a month past the election and three appearances since, Baldwin reveals not only a surprisingly small takehome for the role, but also the likelihood of a regular presence going forward.

There’s no one definition to “TV” anymore, considering half of our most-watched series are easily binged on a phone. Great shows can come from unorthodox places, and Facebook might be getting ready to stretch that definition further with its own line of original and scripted content.

Even as The Walking Dead keeps Carl alive as a symbol of hope for the future, it stands to reason Chandler Riggs will eventually leave the series behind. That prospect got more immediate with word Riggs would soon be attending college, for which the Walking Dead star says of the balancing act “It wouldn’t be easy but I think that could be possible.”

We’ve already got on our dancing shoes for La La Land star Emma Stone to make her SNL return this weekend with musical guest Shawn Mendes, but what of the other December slots? Studio 8H may need to widen its doorways, as John Cena has now booked his SNL debut, with Manchester By the Sea star Casey Affleck closing out 2016.

We all have our fun with The CW’s outrageously attractive casts pushing the limits of teen drama, but can a dash of Archie balance the scales? We’ll find out, as Riverdale and its inhabitants get a dramatic (and sexy, don’t forget sexy) makeover in the first 2017 trailer.

A sad day for fans of The Brady Bunch and revered actress Florence Henderson, as the Brady family matriarch has passed away at age 82. Henderson had since appeared in everything from Murder, She Wrote, to Roseanne, 30 Rock and Dancing With the Stars.

Whether or not you believe that Trump’s Hamilton controversy with VP-Elect Mike Pence was intended to draw attention from the Trump University settlement, it certainly made for one of the more unusual Presidential feuds in history, Hamilton included. So much so, that Stephen Colbert sought to enter the conflict into history with its own Hamilton-esque hip-hop musical.

Once upon a time, TV stood in awe of Duck Dynasty pulling in significantly higher ratings than some non-reality shows, to the point that one member’s exile from the series made national headlines. Now, after five years and eleven seasons, the Robertson clan will finally hang up their duck whistles, at least on TV.
