A student report of a 'gun' turns out to be something completely different

From June 1st through August 31st, Lawton citizens were encouraged to participate in the Take Care of Our Air contest by visiting participating businesses and filling out a contest card by completing simple tasks.

The city of Lawton has gone back to the drawing board when it comes to our city’s efforts to recycle.  The big bins in the park are gone after they were repeatedly used as just a general dumping ground instead of a real way to offer recycling options to the public. So Saturday morning I put on my hiking gear, grabbed a bottle of water, and practically ran to my car in excitement. When the weather is nice, the Wichita Mountains provide a great escape as well as numerous breathtaking views.
