In Chauvin's case, he may be able to serve the rest his sentence in Oklahoma if he doesn't come face to face with a major issue happening statewide.
Chauvin's arrival to Oklahoma happens to be around the same time that a report revealed the severe understaffing issue growing in the state prisons. There are a variety of reasons discussed in the report, but the consequences are just as dire, regardless.
According to a spokesperson for H&P Law, things can really get dicey in prison without enough hands to keep things under control.
"This creates a precarious situation where safety risks increase, operational challenges arise, and financial strain mounts due to potential legal and compliance issues."
