Chick-fil-A in Lawton is making some money moves! After opening a brand new location on the west side of town, now they're adding some flair to the original Cache road store to add another "new"element to their experience.

You may have noticed that many of Lawton's playground areas haven't been opened or updated in quite some time. In fact, the only one that I know of still is the McDonald's Play Place on Cache Road, which hasn't been updated at all recently.

So, Chick-fil-A is adding a new family-favorite aspect to their store: a brand new playground area! They're hosting a grand opening event for the addition on Thursday, January 22, 2026.

Lawton's Chick-fil-A Playground Grand Opening event includes prize wheel & more.

We're always looking for a reason to party! And Lawton's going to have a big one on Thursday, just before the incoming inclement weather arrives this weekend. The original Chick-fil-A store at 2301 NW Cache Road will open their brand new playground up at 5 p.m.

They will also have a prize wheel that guests can spin and win prizes from. Like any other major event with Chick-fil-A, the famous Chick-fil-A cow will make a special appearance for photos and videos.

The playground is closed until the grand opening happens on Thursday, but you can take a sneak peek at it when you dine inside. The area is protected by clear glass doors, so parents can let their kids play while watching them from the dining area.

Ten Iconic Oklahoma Restaurants You Have To Try

I think it's fair to say that each state probably has its own legends when it comes to restaurants. Pennsylvania has cheesesteaks, New York has wings and pizza, Texas has Franklin BBQ and Tex-Mex, etc...

Oklahoma is no different.

Birthed into statehood as a cattle state, there's no shortage of beef on any menu here, but there's a little room for chicken and fries too. Here are the absolute, hands down, best restaurants, in no particular order, everyone has to try in The Sooner State.
