5 Dangerous Driving Habits That Oklahoma’s Officers Need To Crack Down On
Over the last three days, I've been driving up and down I-44 from Oklahoma City all the way down to Lawton, Oklahoma. And the driving I've been seeing has been less than stellar to say the least.
I'm not claiming to be a saint by any means, but I can tell you that I'm not one of those hogging up the left lane... or tailgating the car in front of me and inadvertently causing a traffic-stopping wreck... or doing something ridiculous like passing on the shoulder.
Oklahomans already have a bad reputation on the roads. According to data for road rage related accidents released this year. Wouldn't you know that Oklahoma ranked 4th in the country with the most accidents related to someone getting a little (or a lot) too aggressive on the road.

Videos posted within the last few years have caught some intense road rage encounters - some even considered iconic at this point because of just how ridiculous they were.

Granted, I understand that Oklahoma Highway Patrol is doing their best to catch those being reckless in some ways, but mainly speeding.
And as much as speeding needs attention, so do the other incredibly dangerous driving maneuvers I've seen in just the last few days.
Luckily, I didn't experience anything so intense that I felt the need to record it. But I did notice that each day, the bad driving seemed to be getting worse. More and more people are doing things they either know they shouldn't be, or they don't know they shouldn't be doing it.
And with one of the holidays known for some of the most drunk driving and fatal accidents coming up soon, I think it's important that people get a reminder of how they're supposed to act on the roads.
