Financially Strapped Oklahoman’s Can Receive Help in Paying High Electric Bills
Most, if not all Oklahomans are struggling to keep gas in their vehicles and food on the table. The country is experiencing historical rates of inflation as prices for just about everything has skyrocketed over the past several months. Unfortunately, there's no end in sight as inflation and all costs continue to spike and climb.
At this point, I think all of us are paying to go to work. By the time you pay all the bills, re-stock the fridge and fill your tank the money's gone. Add to that the additional costs for just trying to keep cool during the insane Oklahoma heat we've been seeing this summer and it's definitely going to negatively affect the bill budget!
Some people are having to decide if they want AC or food and gas, it's getting that bad. But there is help available if you're in need. PSO (Public Service Company of Oklahoma) has the 'Home Energy Aid' program that can assist individuals and families struggling financially to pay their electric bills. See below for details:
A BIG THANKS to PSO, Salvation Army, and all the other organizations that are lending a hand in helping their fellow Oklahomans during this hard time. Not to mention all the PSO customers who elect to give extra every month to assist others with the 'Light a Life' program. These donations go a long way in helping others.
There's no need to suffer from the heat or have to go without. Plus, it can be very dangerous when temperatures are in the triple digits and you aren't using any AC trying to avoid a high electric bill. Things are already uncomfortable enough with high prices and all the economic issues and extra expenses we have.
So if you are having trouble with your electric bill reach out and get some help. You can click here to visit the Salvation Army to apply for 'Home Energy Aid.' You can also visit the official PSO website for details on payment options and bill assistance. If you're able to, click here to make a donation to 'Light a Life.'
