Historic WWII Airshow is Coming to Duncan
The CAF (Commemorative Air force) "Air Power History Tour" is coming to Duncan, OK. to the Halliburton Field Airport on Thursday, September 9th through Sunday, September 12th (09-09-21 through 09-12-21).
You'll get to see historic aircraft from WWII up close and personal. The Air Power History Tour features several planes, everything from bombers to fighters and everything in between. You won't want to miss it!
Hit play on the video above to get a sneak peek of what's to come. Being a HUGE fan of airshows and an even BIGGER fan of WWII aircraft I'm really looking forward to it. We'll get to see the world famous B-29 Superfortress "FIFI" they'll have "Lil Diamond" a B-24 Liberator at the show, which is one of my all time favorite bombers. You'll also get to see the T-6 Texan trainer a P-13 biplane and more.
Not only do you get to see these incredible airplanes up close, you could also take a ride. They're offering different ride options to the various aircraft that can be purchased separately from the ramp/show access tickets. Ramp access is only $20.00 for adults, kids ages 11-17 are only $10.00 and children under the age of 10 are free. Ramp or show access will also grant you a cockpit tour of both the B-29 and B-24.
You can get all the details, ride information and tickets for the Air Power History Tour by clicking here. It's going to be a great time and with it going on for 4 days you'll have plenty of opportunities to check it out.
Plus it's just a short 30 minute drive down Highway 7 from Lawton. The airshow will be at the Halliburton Field Municipal Airport located at 2700 S. 13th Street in Duncan. After the airshow I'm thinking a trip to Mazzios Pizza or Taco Casa for lunch/dinner is in order. Now that's a perfect day!
