One of Oklahoma’s Biggest & Best Airshows is Coming Back!
One of the biggest and best airshows is returning in 2022 with even more demonstrations, performances, displays, and historical aircraft. It's guaranteed to be a good time and you won't see a collection of planes and pilots anywhere else like this! Make plans now to attend the "Red River Thunder" airshow next month!
You won't want to miss this! The annual Altus Air Force Base airshow "Red River Thunder" is scheduled for Saturday, October 1st (10-01-22) from 9:00-am until 5:00-pm. Altus AFB will be opening the gates to the public for an airshow and open house. You'll get to meet and greet service members and their families. Get to know a little more about the mission of Altus AFB and of course, check out all the awesome planes!
The U.S. Air Force F-16 Viper demonstration team will be there along with the USAF Wings of Blue parachute team. You'll get to see the WWII Tora Tora Tora flying history in action. The AF P-51 "Mustang" heritage flight. The Texas Raiders B-17 "Flying Fortress" will be there, a C-17 Globemaster III flyover, the USA Golden Knights parachute team along with flyovers from an E-3 "Sentry" the KC-135 "Stratotanker" and the KC-46 "Pegasus" and more! Plus all kinds of cool planes, displays, and vendors on the flight line to check out!
