City of Lawton is Now Accepting Elk Hunt Applications For The 2023 Season
You could be drawn for the hunt of a lifetime! Elk season will soon be here for the City of Lawton starting on October 12th through the 15th then again on December 14th through the 17th 2023.

Applications are now being accepted for the City of Lawton's 2023 elk hunt. If you're interested you'll need to submit an application and have a valid Oklahoma hunting license. You can apply and submit your application anytime from now until the deadline which is 5:00-pm CST on Friday, September 15th, 2023 (09-15-23).
Your completed application must be turned in prior to the deadline for the City of Lawton's 2023 elk hunt. Drop them off at the City Clerk's Office located at 212 S.W. 9th Street downtown, or you can drop them off at the Parks and Recreation Lakes Division at 23510 State Highway 58. There's also a $25.00 application fee.
Get your application and fees submitted for the 2023 elk season by (09-15-23) at 5:00 p.m.
Applications for the City of Lawton 2023 Elk hunt can be found online, click here to visit the site and download your application. Just print it out, fill it out, and turn it in at the City Clerk's Office or City's Lakes Headquarters. You can also get an application at Owen's Multi-purpose Center at 1405 S.W. 11th Street, they're also available at the City Clerk's Office and the Parks and Recreation Lakes Division headquarters.

If you plan on applying and are drawn for a hunt I certainly wouldn't be opposed to accepting any elk meat you'd like to share. Without a doubt, elk is the absolute best, hands down.
It's been a while since I've had any and I'm thinking some homemade jerky, chili, burgers, and steaks would be perfect. But, only if you run out of room in your freezer.
