Multiple Vehicles Collide on Slippery Houston Road

Ya'll need to stay off the roads.

The problem with people born and raised in Texas, and I'm one of them, is that we drive on icy roads the exact same way we drive on dry roads.

And that just don't work.

The video below features a bunch of Houstonians out on the road, playing a game of Slip n Slide with their cars.

The Unfolding Drama

Car after car comes barreling down the road to slam into the other vehicles and add to the mayhem. Some folks are staying in their cars, and some are getting out and attempting to get off the road and out of harm's way. I'm not sure which route is safer, but I think I would have got out for a while, as long as I could stand it in the cold at least.

Stay Safe Out There

Houston PD: "Since midnight there have been more than 580 crashes & more than 100 have been ice-related."

I know it goes without saying, but if you don't know how to drive on slippery roads, please just stay home.
