They say Christmas is the season of giving. And one of Lawton's treasured Christmas enthusiasts, Jeri Christmas, is returning yet again to give to one of the most influential organizations who helps Lawton's youth during the winter.

Coats for Kids supports Oklahoma families every year by providing warm winter wear for children identified by the Lawton Public Schools as not having warm winter clothes. Instead of letting them go without, they provide what they need at no cost.

Jeri Christmas hosts an annual Bazaar to not only help local Christmas businesses during the holiday season, but also to raise money that is donated towards the Coats For Kids coat fund. This year's 2nd Annual Jeri Christmas Bazaar is happening coming up on the first Saturday of December.

Christmas venders of all kinds come together to support Lawton & share the spirit.

This year, Justin Rogers and the crew from Southwest Toyota is presenting Jeri's Christmas Bazaar in the luxury, sleek showroom at 7110 NW Quannah Parker Trailway in Lawton, Oklahoma.

On Saturday, December 6, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the dealership will transform into a true winter wonderland of shopping, with local businesses bringing their best Christmas gear.

Because the event is being presented by Southwest Toyota, who will still be accepting cans for their own Cans for a Cause drive, Jeri's Bazaar will not have an official entry fee. However, in the spirit of giving, guests are encouraged to make a suggested donation of $5, which goes directly to Coats for Kids.

Supporting the Bazaar means supporting Coats for Kids cause - here's how.

Coats for Kids is a charity started by the Real Estate Experts in 2005. They saw a need in the Lawton community for school aged children to have warm winter clothes, regardless of if parents could afford to provide them. So, they collect gently used and brand new coats and purchase new coats for children each year.

Since they purchase coats in September each year, the money that is raised from Jeri's Christmas Bazaar is used to kickstart the following year's donations.

This year, Jeri is asking 10 local businesses to step up to the plate and donate a simple $100 to the Coats for Kids. In exchange, businesses will be included in the morning crew salute and more. To sign up to be a vender for the event, text Jeri Christmas at 580-574-8898.
