It's back! Get ready for the 40th annual 'Cops N' Kids' picnic. It will be coming to Elmer Thomas Park on Saturday, September 17th (09-17-22) from 10:00-am to 1:00-pm. Make plans now, you won't want to miss it!

It's hard to believe this is the 40th annual. Unfortunately, they had to cancel the event for the past few years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but 2022 is a go! If you've never been it's a great time for the entire family.

You'll get to meet and interact with officers from LPD (Lawton Police Department) along with the Comanche Couty Sherriff's Department, The Oklahoma Highway Patrol, LFD (Lawton Fire Department) along with our local and area EMTs and first responders. They're pulling out all the stops for 2022, everyone will be there!

There's going to be police and fire department demonstrations, kids will be able to take a ride in the police cars and yes they can hit the siren! Of course, no picnic would be complete without food, so they'll be grilling up hotdogs and all the fixings! We're hearing that McGruff the crime dog and Sparky the fire dog are coming!

During the picnic, the kids and even adults can enjoy all the games, prizes, and giveaways. LPD will be doing their annual bicycle giveaway and the parents can get in on the Chris Cagle ticket giveaway thanks to Apache Casino Hotel. Not only that there will be TONS of vendors and booths offering all kinds of FREE STUFF!
