Lawton’s Salvation Army is Kicking Off Angel Tree This Weekend!

If you're looking for a way to help the less fortunate in our area this Holiday Season, look no further than the Salvation Army Angel Tree "Hope Marches On" that kicks off Saturday, November 20th at 10 am, at the Sheridan Road Walmart.

Captain Liz Law is excited for the first Angel Tree event here in Lawton since she and her husband, Jake assumed their post at SW Oklahoma's Salvation Army. As we mentioned previously, Salvation Army helps citizens in Lawton in many ways.  Meals, a food pantry, Bell Ringing during the holidays, and Angel Tree.

This year, the Salvation Army, like many agencies that depend on donations, has been suffering from the after-effects of COVID 19, and perhaps the aftermath of government assistance that has now run out. No matter the reason, there is definitely a need for your help this holiday season!

If you are able to donate, monetary donations are the preferred way to help.  The Salvation can use those cash donations to purchase in bulk for the Food Bank, thus maximizing purchasing power to feed more families.

This weekend, it's all about the kids!  Join the Salvation Army along with The Diversity Club & Orchestra as special guests.

The Angel Tree program of Comanche and Stephens Counties is working hard to ensure that hope marches on this holiday season for local families in need. Currently, we have 605 children registered for our Angel Tree program. The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary will be handing out angel tree tags for adoption and accepting donations November 20th – December 4th at the Sheridan Walmart.
