Should Oklahoma Drivers Be on the Road? New Study Confirms…
We are not doing fine, Oklahoma, especially on the roads. According to a new study by Forbes Advisor, Oklahoma has made it to the top 5 of the worst states for road rage driving, sitting at #4.
The Forbes Advisor Study
The study done by Forbes Advisor focused on nine key metrics that measure aggressive and confrontational drivers. They took data from people who reported:
- Being tailgated
- Cut off
- Ran off the road
- Given a rude gesture
- Confronted and told to pull off to fight
- Being blocked from merging
- Being honked at
- Cursed at
- Threatened by another driver
According the study, Oklahoma drivers are worst about showing rude gestures, honking out of frustration, blocking other drivers from merging, and forcing other people off the road.
Don't just look at the numbers, people have been sharing their own experiences on the road. A reddit user mentioned facing a horrible situation on interstate 235.

And don't think the road rage stops behind the wheel - Oklahomans have made the top 10 list for "percentage of drivers who report another driver has exited their vehicle to yell at or fight with them," which is about 10.5%."
Why Are Oklahomans So Angry While Driving?
An interesting comment on reddit mentioned that Oklahoma still sits at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to education. It could be a liegitimate problem - are people on Oklahoma's roads not prepared to drive safely due to a lack of education?

Could it be the drivers and the vehicles they're in? It's a common thing to joke about big trucks compensating, but maybe there's more behind the motor.

One reddit user mentioned that since they've driven a smaller vehicle, it's the truck drivers having more of an issue.
