Lawton’s Ware District Announces First Community Event ‘Ware on C’ This Thursday

The Ware District is Lawton's first named community and is primarily Lawton's downtown area and encompasses businesses, galleries, restaurants, and recreational activities for the community to enjoy. The Ware District is named for Lawton's founder MG Henry Ware Lawton.

We spoke with Lawton Fort-Sill Chamber of Commerce Chairman, Albert Johnson about the new district and the upcoming event recently, listen to his interview.

This Thursday, Lawton will get to enjoy The Ware District's first community event, 'Ware on C'.  A block party on C Avenue between 4th and 5th streets.  There will be live music, food trucks, vendors and entertainment including Cornhole, Pickleball, Chalk drawing, and a book signing.  The festivities begin at 5pm and lasts until 7:30pm.
