Even if you've lived in Oklahoma you're entire life, chances are you haven't stayed in every single special spot across the state. Especially when you consider just how much things have changed and people are constantly adding to Oklahoma's airbnbs and rentals lists. This special place is in the north eastern corner of the sooner state, just outside of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Sand Springs is a small suburb just outside of one of the largest cities in Oklahoma. This is one of those towns that doesn't seem like Oklahoma with woods areas, hills and lots of beautiful views of the Arkansas River.
For those who've been looking for a getaway spot, there's a hidden area within Sand Springs known as the Three Ponds Community, a group that started to promote inner growth and connection with others and the world.

These are truly considered "getaway spots" since a few of them do require a short hike to get to and are tucked away in the woods and somewhere private.
Most of the spots include air conditioning and/or other sources of electricity, so you can enjoy the areas all year long. It is worth noting that the spots do not include electricity and are considered "off grid" so it might be wise to plan a weekend to completely unplug.
They do include unique amenities that really make the experience a naturistic one, like outdoor showers and compost toilets also outdoors.
As per their name, there are three ponds on the 10-acre property that some of the stay spots look over and give guests the best view.
While staying on the property, guests can get out and about with nature by hiking, exploring and participating in activities that the community hosts. They also have areas for guests just to enjoy, like the garden, animals to interact with, a pool and hot tub and more.
