Medicine Park to Host Grape Harvest and Stomp
I've thought many times of planting a garden. Watching the fruits and veggies grow, then being able to harvest them. What a rush that would be to be able to grow your own food!
Medicine Park is offering a similar experience this weekend, as they will harvest grapes, then host a Grape Stomp!
This is exactly what I think of when I think of a grape stomp. One of the funniest episodes of 'I Love Lucy' ever! Never have I ever wanted to squish grapes with my toes. As a kid visiting my grandmother's house in rural Georgia, she had plum trees. They were great for making jelly, but the ones that fell from the trees and were not picked up...you guessed it. Squishy on those summer bare feet! Yuck!
This Saturday, July 16th, Discover Medicine Park Oklahoma and Blue Eyed Coyote Guest House are hosting your opportunity to participate in Medicine Park's First Grape Harvest.
Come early, harvest grapes, stomp the grapes, and eat a big breakfast!!! Come and enjoy the First Grape Harvest of Medicine Park, Oklahoma. The cost is $20.00 for adults, and $5.00 for children, 10 and under. The fun starts at 8 am and runs until Noon.
I went to Church in Medicine Park for years and have driven by the Blue Eyed Coyote Guest House forever, not knowing exactly what it was.
The Blue Eyed Coyote Guest House is a bed and breakfast in the quaint town of Medicine Park, Oklahoma. It was built at the turn of the century and had been remodeled several times over the years. There are 3 Guest suites, that are totally furnished.
The weather looks as if it will cooperate this weekend. Stomp Away!
