The Medicine Park Art Walk and Flute Festival event is still Happening
The Medicine Park Art Walk and Flute Festival event is still happening as planned.
Organizers are seeking artists for the 11th Annual Art Walk and Flute Festival Oct. 9, 10, & 11, 2020. This weekend event hosts artists from around the Southwest who want to show their work in the historic and exciting setting of the little cobblestone village of Medicine Park, just north of Lawton-Fort Sill, OK. Spaces will fill up fast for this juried show, which is limited to 50 entries. Email jeanpar3@tds.net for information and entry forms. Entries so far include oil and watercolor painters, fabric artists, metal and wood artists, jewelers, mixed media artists and short-order poets! We also have several exciting crowd events planned for children and adults throughout the weekend.
Cost for the three-day show is $75 per 10’ by 10’ display space. The Art Walk does not take a percentage of your sales. However, we do collect .09 % sales tax for the state during this event. Bring your own tent, tables or display panels, and our friendly helpers will work with you to set up on Friday afternoon, Oct. 9. Show hours are: Saturday, Oct. 10, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 11, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
$1,000 in prize money will be split by first-, second- and third-place prize-winners. Entries close Aug. 29, 2020. For more information about the Flute Festival, email Reed Alder at: reed.alder@gmail.com
