Naturally, as we grow older, the drive to play video games dwindle. I can't tell you the last Call of Duty I played, or what the latest GTA mod is. Though, I do still find myself thinking 'I should buy that old school NES system down at Game King' once in a while. Those games were instant classics.

Super Mario Bros. is still the best video game ever developed. Duck Hunt is still the best first person shooter ever made. And The Legend of Zelda may be the worlds greatest role playing puzzle video game to ever hit mankind (though Oregon Trail isn't far behind).

Realizing how much demand there is for vintage gaming, with the emulators, knock-off's, classic consoles, etc... Nintendo announced their new Mini-NES, pre-loaded with the best 30 games they've ever released, plus one controller at a projected $59.99. That's insane!

Naturally, you might be calling shenanigans in the absence of Contra, Tetris, or Excitebike... but that's the trade-off to getting great titles already loaded. Plus, given the technology of today, more titles may very well be downloadable in the future.

You might also notice a lack of shooters like Duck Hunt and Hogans Alley... but that's a hardware issue. You see, without the gigantic tube type TV's, the NES firearm controller won't work with our new LED/LCD tech. No big deal though, there's a ton of great games to keep you busy.

Here's the whole list of games included:

  • Balloon Fight
  • Bubble Bobble
  • Castlevania
  • Castlevania II: Simon's Quest
  • Donkey Kong
  • Donkey Kong Jr.
  • Double Dragon II: The Revenge
  • Dr. Mario

  • Ghosts'N Goblins

Leave it to Nintendo to be the savior of fun technology in a world of complete Xbone & PS4 crap.
