Among the variety of spring and summer events happening at the Oklahoma City Zoo, there are a few opportunities for families to spend the night AT the zoo. Each event is themed, giving visitors a more intimiate look at specific groups of the zoo's animals, like predators and close relatives (more on that later). Here's how you can make that special event happen for you and your family!

Starting May 10th, the Oklahoma City Zoo will be hosting four overnight events, both public and private booking. The overnight stays will include other activities, depending on which option you book. The events will be:

Each overnight program includes special instruction about the animals they're focusing on, a guided night hike through the zoo, morning and evening snacks and possibly a morning hike. Guests will also recieve free zoo admission for the next day after their overnight stay.

The public and private overnight stays at the Oklahoma City zoo aren't the only major events happening in the next couple of months. They'll also be hosting a variety of public events that get people involved even outside of the zoo, like the lights out Oklahoma to protect migratory birds event.

Not to mention the variety of animal feedings they'll be offering, with their giraffes, elephants, rhinos, flamingos and so many others. Specific animals will have specific days and times for their feedings, so make sure to check their website often for updates.

They're doing their darndest this year to offer a variety of events for a variety of ages. Although nearly all of their events are family friendly, the Oklahoma City Zoo staff will also be offering an adults only 21 and up series the entire month of May.
