Oklahoma City is getting a new indoor waterpark just outside of Bricktown, and the investors are throwing out their caution and going for broke.

The planned OKANA Resort and Indoor Waterpark will consist of a 400+room luxury hotel overlooking downtown OKC, Bricktown, and the Boathouse District, a 100,000 square foot two-level indoor waterpark, and an expansive outdoor "adventure lagoon" with slides and zip lines into a 4.5-acre pool.

As if that's not enough, the plan includes dining options, an arcade, spa, and a family entertainment area. This place is going to be huge and located along the famed Oklahoma River flowing through downtown OKC.

According to OKC Mayor Holt and the Chickasaw Nation building this new attraction, they hope to have a billion-dollar economic impact on OKC over the first decade OKANA is operational.

If everything goes according to plan and stays on schedule, OKANA will open in 2025.
