Jeri and I just got back in town after visiting OKC (Oklahoma City) for the state fair food event. It was definitely worth the trip down I-44 to indulge in our favorite fair foods. They had all kinds of food vendors and trucks set up. There were funnel cakes, corn dogs, turkey legs, cotton candy, hot dogs, all kinds of meats on a stick, cinnamon rolls and this year's personal favorite for Jeri and I...Fried peaches!

The Oklahoma State Fair was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, however fair organizers got together to figure out a way we could still get our fair foods. Going on right now in OKC at the state fairgrounds they have a Fair Food Festival. It's set up near the main entry in front of the Bennett Event Center.

Guests are asked to enter the grounds at the main entrance, at May Avenue and Gordon Cooper Boulevard, across from Forest Lumber. No tables or benches will be provided, all food will be packaged in to-go containers. Attendees of this event are asked to maintain social distance of at least six feet from others.

It's not too late to make the short trip to OKC to be a part of the fair food festival. It's going on right now!

Friday, August 21st (08-21-20) from 12:00pm until 8:00pm, Saturday, August 22nd (08-22-20) from 12:00pm until 8:00pm and again on Sunday, August 23rd (08-23-20) from 12:00pm to 6:00pm.
