Katie Couric Signs Deal for ABC Talk Show

OK,  Oprah was the Queen of daytime talk.  There is no other way to put it.  But less than 2 weeks after her departure from the throne, here comes the replacements.

Katie Couric formerly of CBS Evening News, feels that her time is now and has landed a multi-year deal to do talk show for ABC.

In addition to that she will be doing some reports for ABC News as well.  Her new talk show will not air until September 2012.  Almost the same time as the Presidential election will be in the final phase.

Katie has said that her new talk show will be a cross of Oprah and the Today Show.  Hmmm.  Who is going to play the part of Willard Scott or Al Roker?  Just curious to know.  Will you watch or will this become just another hour of television that will go unnoticed?
