Can You Get Out Of One Of Oklahoma’s Largest Corn Mazes?
One of the funnest, and sometimes the scariest, popular activities to do in the fall in Oklahoma are corn mazes. They usually come hand in hand with pumpkin patches or petting zoos, but the corn maze is usually the largest attraction at the place.
Most are relatively easy to find your way out of, especially for adults. A handful of mazes even offer nighttime experiences; places like Sunshine Shelly's Nightmare Maze can give you a truly terrifying experience in the haunted maze or you can just take an eerily quiet walkthrough at the Parkhurst Moonlite Maze.
But for those who want a challenge and a chance to see if you really could make it out, you'll want to add one of the largest corn mazes in Oklahoma to your "must visit" list.
P Bar Farm Corn Maze - Hydro, Oklahoma
Their uniquely cut 10 acre corn maze is something you've probably not seen before anywhere else in Oklahoma. Each year, the owners Loren and Kim Liebscher let the corn grow as tall as they can and then cut the design with GPS tracking on their tractors.
This year, they wanted to pay tribute to true Oklahoman history by cutting a bison in the maze. In past designs, they've used the corn maze to shout out a few important things in Oklahoma, like Bedlam, Relay 4 Life and Route 66.
Loren Liebscher told us that the ideas come from him and his wife and every year, it's something different. "The designs are original ideas that represent some important thing about Oklahoma," he said.
Things Heat Up After Dark
Once you've conquered the maze during the day, you'll have a new challenge on your hands. If you're brave enough, you and your friends can make it through the "After Dark" experience at P Bar for everyone 3 years old and up.
Beware, the size of the corn maze alone can scare you without anything but a flashlight guiding you, let alone the creepy things lurking behind the stalks.
The Haunted Corn Maze is happening every Thursday, Friday and Saturday until Halloween night and tickets are $17 per person. It's a family-friendly haunted maze so even the bravest kiddos can come along for the fun. The haunts don't start until sundown.
More Than A Corn Maze
Although the corn maze at P Bar is debatably the highlight for most folks, they have added a ton of other attractions and experiences over the 24 years they've been open. They've also added a pet friendly pumpkin patch, petting zoo, train rides and a ton more.
