Think about the stressful moments in your life. Doesn't matter what they are, just think about them in order of how stressful they were. Does moving appear at the top of that list? Don't get me wrong, if moving was the most stressful moment of your life, I'm not trying to convince you otherwise, but it seems a little small in the grand scheme of things.

Most people list both divorce and marriage as the number stressful event in their lives. Next comes the death of a family member, then the stress of having kids rounds out the top three. In a military town, deployment has to be pretty high up that same list, so how did moving end up at the top of a publicly voted survey?

Get your shenanigans button ready... The survey was conducted by a moving company, and the results are being used to advertise their "amazing and stress-free" service. Not to say that moving can't be stressful, I'm sure it can... it's just, especially in a military town, everyone is kind of used to it at this point. Unless you're headed to Fort Polk, either post in Kansas, or in hindsight of recent events, Fort Hood, most people are somewhat excited to hit their next home on the journey of life.

Now I didn't grow up military, I grew up oil patch. We had moved five times by the time I graduated high school. I've moved eleven more times in the seventeen years since moving out on my own... it's just life. I will admit this though, even after buying a house, I could pack up everything I own in a five-by-twelve trailer and fly the coop at the drop of a hat. Moving has never been a bummer, it's always been a good thing.

What about you? Would you say that moving is the most stressful event in your life? Sound off like you have a pair.
