Queen's Roger Taylor has seen his musical vision come to life and next year North American audiences will get more of the Queen Extravaganza. Dates have been revealed for 2013, with touring set to launch Jan. 11 in Tarrytown, N.Y. and continuing through the end of the band's Quebec City residency on Sept. 1.

Seeking to keep his own band's legacy alive, Taylor set out to create a production by auditioning vocalists and musicians to perform the music of Queen even when his own band isn't able too. Last year, members of the production made their television debut on 'American Idol,' capping a stellar year that was also filled with both U.S. and Canadian dates last summer.

"The response to the second tour for the Queen Extravaganza tells us that the word is spreading about this sensational live act," says Taylor. "Don't miss them." The drummer says that he's especially excited seeing how time has allowed for more advances in his band's music. He explains, "We did the first 10 years of our career with just the four of us, no additions, you know technology wasn't there. We were relying on stripped-down adrenalized versions of our songs and our own personalities. But with this band, we continue to push all the musical boundaries with technology that was not available to the four of us originally. This band is a powerhouse of talent. To hear our songs performed by them gives the fans a chance to hear [our songs] now as they could have [been] done then and perhaps technically, even better!!"

During their 90-minute sets, fans can expect to hear 22 Queen classics. Taylor adds, "The Queen Extravaganza is not a traditional tribute show. It is a brand new show specially designed to enable these new fans, together with fans of old, to celebrate the music of Queen in a heart-stopping event. It's very spectacular, it's very visual, there are going to be some shocks and some tremendous surprises. It will be a rock celebration in the Royal tradition. This tremendously talented band is developing a whole new life and personality of its very own!"

The group will spend two extended runs in Quebec City this year. The first runs Jan. 22-27 at Le Capitole de Quebec and the production returns to the venue for more dates between Aug. 6-Sept. 1.
