Six poor Delta Air Lines passengers experienced something that most us fear – finding something funky in the food served on a plane. But what happens when instead of 'something funky' you find a sewing needle – read on to find out.

A Delta international flight from Amsterdam sent passengers in panic when six separate reports were made that needles were found in sandwiches. Several passengers actually ate some of their sandwiches before they discovered the nasty dangerous surprise.

Delta is denying any wrong doing  - that doesn’t shock me one little bit – have you been on one of their flights? No – good for you!

‘Delta is taking this matter extremely seriously and is cooperating with local and federal authorities who are investigating the incident,’ said a spokesperson. ‘Delta has taken immediate action with our in-flight caterer at Amsterdam to ensure the safety and quality of the food we provide onboard our aircraft,’ as reported by the LA Times.

Apparently all sandwiches were prepared in Amsterdam by a catering agency named Gate Gourmet (it’s a dead giveaway what kind of food you gonna get from that place just by reading its name).

The FBI in Atlanta is investigating the incident but they don’t consider it an ‘act of terrorism’.

What's the worst thing you've eat on an airplane?
