Tom Hardy Selected To Play Elton John In ‘Rocketman’
From breaking Batman's back to singing about the a man burning up his fumes up all there alone, Tom Hardy is set to star as Elton John in the upcoming rocker's biopic.
The actor was approached about the project in June and was just recently signed on to star in the film.
Rocketman will revolve around John's life as a musician from the days of his childhood days to his rise of fame. According to Entertainment Weekly, John will re-record a number of his biggest hits to catch the emotional moments of the film. John will also serve as executive producer of the film.
The film is scheduled to begin shooting in fall 2014 and will be directed by Michael Gracey, the man behind the upcoming film The Greatest Showman on Earth starring Hugh Jackman.
