Since most parents are spending Halloween with the kiddos, most places are trying to fit in some date-night Halloween themed events before the end of October. The zoo in Tulsa, Oklahoma is no different.

On Saturday, October 11, the Tulsa Zoo is closing their doors to the kiddos and inviting just adults to come and explore the zoo on their own.

Here's what visitors can expect for a sip and stroll date night in Tulsa.

From 5:30p.m. to 8:30p.m. on Oct. 11, adults will be welcome to stroll through the Tulsa zoo and enjoy event favorites like live music, yard games, animal chats and more entertainment.

Since the event does include alcoholic beverages, the event is only open to 21 and up visitors who must have a valid I.D. for entry. Visitors can expect a savory cocktail, a sweet cocktail, a domesic or import beer and a wine of their choice.

Will you get to enjoy the entire zoo during the sip and stroll?

The zoo will be open during their normal hours and will keep their animal exhibits open until around 7:15 p.m. so the animals can still maintain their normal sleep cycles. If visitors want to get most out of enjoying the animals, the Tulsa Zoo encourages guests to come earlier at the start of the day.

Of course, no Halloween themed event would be quite the same without a good ol' fashioned costume contest. The judges are looking for creative and original ideas, along with an individualistic style.
