UPDATE, 12 p.m. 9/3/2025: Urban Air confirmed via social media that they are permanently closing their doors.

You know what they say, you win some and you lose some.

Despite the many things recently opened in Lawton, Oklahoma this year - and the many that are still to come - it seems as though we've also seen quite a few shops close their doors at the same time.

As many community members have pointed out, a local adventure park in Lawton has suspiciously listed their hours as "temporarily closed" on Google. Despite their high reviews and apparently "always packed" appearance, could we be saying goodbye to Urban Air?

Is Urban Air closed in Lawton, Oklahoma?

Recently, the trampoline adventure park, Urban Air, in Lawton changed their status to temporarily closed both on google and on the national website for the business.

We reached out to the business for comment about their closure and have yet to receive word back from them.

They secured their Lawton location nearly a decade ago in the fall of 2017, according to Urban Air News. They moved next door to Ocean Dental, Texas Roadhouse and Kudo's Steakhouse and Sushi. They had big plans for the location at the time and it seemed to have worked for a long while.

Lawton's Urban Air currently has a 3.7 rating on Google Reviews.

Several of the Google reviews spoke highly of the park, highlighting the cost, clean environment and the options that the park had to keep families entertained.

Despite some of the reviews describing poor customer service, several of the other over 500 experiences bragged about the friendly and attentive staff there waiting to keep everyone safe.

Despite the good reviews and seemingly good business, things seem to have been quiet in the park lately. For example, the park's staff posted on their Instagram page inviting families to enjoy the holiday with them on Monday, September 1.

However, on the same day they shared the same photo, but announced that they would be closed for the holiday.

Although we don't know for sure if they decided to close for the day because of slow business, it could still be a possibility.

We're waiting to confirm with staff how long the park will be closed and if, and when, they will be back open for business.

Only Stores Left In The Lawton Central Plaza

What used to be a busy, bustling mall with a movie theatre, tons of stores and set ups for families has become quite the ghost town. But there are still a few stores open as of August 2025.
