Blood, Sweat and Tears – Unique Veteran-Owned Businesses in Oklahoma
Oklahoma veterans are born and bred from the roots of the state, which holds 6 different military bases. After their service, military men and women take their skills and make their own living, sometimes in very unique ways. Here are a few Veteran-owned businesses throughout Oklahoma that are not your typical mom-and-pop.
Shakespeare Wine Company - Chickasha, Oklahoma

Danger Close Apparel - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Having served in the Air Force, owner Chris Lotts started the Danger Close Apparel to connect veterans by creating different designs to commemorate their service in the military. According to Lott, "the term "danger close" refers to close air support strikes close to the ground and symbolizes the ultimate trust on the battlefield. Support Lott and his family as he leaves for deployment but tackles the challenge of running the business while away.
Although we've highlighted only a few of these businesses, we encourage everyone to support all 5,000 Veteran-owned businesses in the state. They've given their lives, bodies and time to serve all of the country - it's time for us to serve them. Show us how you support your military - share your photos on our app.
