I have always been fascinated with the night sky.  Living in Minnesota and northern South Dakota the "Northern Lights" would get so bright some nights, they were almost scarey looking.

The other night David and I lost electricity at The Mace Place and I went outside and looked up into the night sky and saw a million stars and the milky way.  It was absolutely beautiful.  You could see forever since there were no yard lights.

Then I found this story about Nick Risinger who traveled over 60,000 miles to capture an image of the entire night sky.  He traveled with a rack of 6 synchronized cameras and took 37,440 exposures and stitched them together into a spectacular, panoramic sky.  You can move the image as if you were looking all around.  You can even show the tags to see where all the constellations are.   It is amazing and here is a link to his photopic sky survey! It just makes me want to go outside and look up!
