Researchers Are Making a 3D Printer That Can Build A House in 24 Hours

My nephew is currently a student at South Dakota State University in Brookings. He is studying to be an Architect. When I was home visiting last month he talked about printing a model of a building using a 3D printer. I have seen 3D printers print out models but never an actual home. Now, at the University of Southern California a professor is working on a 3D printer that can build a house in 24 hours.

Here is a video from Contour Crafting showing a demonstration of the technology. It is amazing to think about how this could revolutionize the building industry. Simply amazing!
