The Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden is bringing back a fan-favorite family event that will allow families to enjoy a whole heaping helping of breakfast while enjoying some one-of-a-kind experiences involving some of the animals at the Oklahoma City Zoo. The event also works as a fundraiser, with $2 from every ticket going back to the monarch butterfly conservation.

Every Saturday in May, visitors can experience Breakfast With The Animals.

Starting On May 2, the OKC Zoo staff will be hosting their annual Breakfast With The Animals event every Saturday morning during the month of May. Visitors who purchase a ticket will be able to enjoy a full pancake bar with all the fixings, eggs, bacon, potatoes, non-alcoholics breakfast beverages, and coffee provided by Scooter’s.

While enjoying their breakfast, visitors will be able to hear and learn from animal caretakers, animal ambassadors and will have a chance to feed the giraffes at the Expedition Africa. There will also be a unique monarch maze for the kids to enjoy and learn about the monarchs along the way.

Last year's event was a complete success, so the OKC Zoo staff wanted to make this year's event just as memorable. Even if you attended the previous event, this year's will be it's own experience, according to OKC Zoo Events Manager, Jenna Dodson. "Even those who attended our first year of Breakfast with the Animals will find new foods, new animal experiences, and new reasons to love the OKC Zoo,” she said.

Unique Things to Do in Oklahoma City

There is no shortage of things to do in OKC. While there are a handful of things everyone knows about--OKC Zoo, Myriad Gardens, Bricktown, etc-- there are even more lesser-known places to experience one-of-a-kind Oklahomaness. Some things cost a little money, others are completely free, but it's all fun for the whole family.
