Among the many closings we've seen so far in Lawton, there's a question if another one of the major chain stores left in the old Central Mall will remain open. Questions remain about the jewelry store, Claire's, and if they will still be open after recent news.

According to major news outlets like USA Today, Claire's has recently filed for bankruptcy for the second time since 2018. Now, they are set on closing some of their stores around the country.

Claire's is one of the last few stores to occupy a space in the old Central Mall, now known as the Central Plaza, in Lawton, Oklahoma. Despite their success as a brand over the years, will they be closed soon?

Unfortunately, while Lawton's store was not initially included on the list of 18 stores set to close, they are closing. Just a few days ago, they started their store closing sale. They told us that there is no for sure closing date, they will be open until every last item is sold - furniture included.

Claire's is commonly found in malls, but they're also embedded into several Walmart stores and in Icing retail stores. Currently, they have "more than 2,300 retail locations across 17 countries in North America and Europe," according to Reuters.com.

But the largest issue Claire's is facing can determine what happens to all of their stores across the country. Unless they find another buyer, and soon, the rest of the locations across the world will be closing soon, as well.
