The International Film Club and Phi Sigma Iota students of Cameron University are hosting a pancake fundraiser to support students from the local chapter.

According to the organization’s website: “Phi Sigma Iota is the highest academic honor in the field of foreign languages. The Honor Society recognizes outstanding ability and achievement in the study of, or teaching of, any of the academic fields related to foreign language, literature, or culture.”

The International Film Club hosts a foreign film once a week in order to facilitate a fun and interesting way of learning about other cultures, which also allows viewers to gain a greater appreciation for cinema as an art form. These films are free and open to the public.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used for scholarships to support the International Film Club and Phi Sigma Iota students.
