Oklahoma Welcomes Daiso With Affordable Kitchenware And More
Finally, some variety! Have you heard of one of the newest, unique stores just opened in Edmond, Oklahoma? Check out this japanese homegoods store, Daiso, that just made an appearance in Oklahoma. The good news is: there's more on the way.
Daiso is a large chain "dollar store" type of location that has around 4,000 locations in Japan and has started to make their way into the United States, according to OKCTalk.com. The first location in Oklahoma just opened last month in Edmond at 1159 E. 2nd St. and the unique experience is something not just Oklahomans love.
Many folks who are Japanese or who have lived in Japan appreciate the store's authenticity and affordability for the area. You'll be able to find assorted kitchenware, toys, decorations and much more. As the folks from Adventures in Oklahoma put it, "this store is reminding me very much of a Dollar Tree and a Five Below."
Future plans in Oklahoma for the unique international store.
The hope is for the chain to expand into Oklahoma City metro and maybe other locations across the state. The next location is set to open on May 31, 2025 in Tulsa, OKlahoma. Many urban areas will more than likely have better luck getting a location than rural towns in Oklahoma.
They sell an array of Japanese themed goods, including a multitude of chopsticks in many different styles. Where do you think the next Daiso will go up in Oklahoma?
