Must See People & Things At The 2025 Oklahoma State Fair
Today, September 11, marks the exciting start of the Oklahoma State Fair in Oklahoma City! To help make the most of the day, we've put together everything you need for a fun and memorable experience.
The State Fair is one of the largest events in the state, so it takes almost the entire year of planning to make the experience successul. Several of the fair's contests and competitions happen outside of the two weeks the fair takes place.
Several food trucks and vendors at the State Fair entered into a contest on Wednesday, September 10. The winners were just announced, making it a lot easier for visitors to know which vendors they should try.

This year, the food trucks and food vendors at the State Fair were able to enter into four different categories for the "Great Taste" competition. There were 6-7 entries per category for the competition, judged by "local members of the media, content creators, and food enthusiasts," according to the Press Release.
The winners were as follows:
- New To The Scene - Sweet Tea Chicken from 1907.
- Sips and Swigs - Biscoff Horchata from Agua Fresca.
- Slice of Savory - Biria Street Corn from Bad Boys BBQ.
- Sweetest of the Sweet - Carmel Popcorn Pie by Cutie Pies.
They also awarded the "Fairest of Them All" award to the Cutie Pies for their Carmel Popcorn Pie.
The food at the Oklahoma State Fair is great, but the people are even better. This year, the State Fair wants to have the largest donation EVER to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. They're even willing to give coupons or cash awards to the highest donors.

Anything can happen around big crowds and huge events like a state fair. Law enforcement is asking visitors to take a few steps to ensure a safe, successful fair visit by remembering to lock their cars before they head to the event.
Families will also have access to resources to keep everyone close or be able to reunite with one another in the case someone is lost. This year, they are offering unique wristbands for free to help reunite visitors.
They can be found at any InFAIRmation booth on the fairgrounds.
