Former Lawton schools teacher Anquanits Kaigler-Love will be inducted, along with nine other educators from across Oklahoma into the Oklahoma African American Educators Hall of Fame on Friday. The ceremony will be held at the Oklahoma History Center in Oklahoma City.

During her career, Kaigler-Love spent 38 years with Lawton Public Schools, during which she developed a summer reading program for at-risk students. Her dedication to education also include making presentations on the local and state levels praising cultural diversity and urging parents greater involvement in their student's education, and mentored students at the university level to improve their retention. She retired from the Lawton Public School District in 2013, her final position that of executive director of federal programs, a position she had held since 2001.

The event will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the Oklahoma History Center, 800 Nazih Zubdi Drive, Oklahoma City. Tickets are $60. For ticket information call Shirley Nero, 918-698-6037.
