Did you as a child, keep a diary or journal of any kind? I remember I think it was 6th grade, I kept sort of a journal, nothing too serious. But I do remember English / Language Arts teachers later on in my education, emphasizing the importance of jotting notes  on life in general.

There is man named Chris in Los Angeles who is sharing his second grade diary. Not only sharing it, but reliving each entry some 35 years later. Read some of the entries and then see how he looks at the same entries through adult eyes.

I found this particular entry to be really interesting and shows just how creative his mind was and still is.

"Today the temperature Went up to 60° This is true. This is also not unusual, as the average temperature in the area where I grew up at this time of year is 58° (today it reached 63°)."

Didn’t you get any sugar when you were trick-or-treating last night, young me? Or maybe you’re in a candy coma and are so entirely spent that this is the most exciting thing you can think to draw? It’s OK: Most adults also phoned it in today. It’s called a hangover. You’re gonna have a lot of them (sorry).

However, I do like that seven-year-old me has drawn a trigger mechanism setting off a stick of dynamite. It’s a good metaphor for what’s about to happen around here, because I've been really looking forward to this upcoming week of drawings, which (spoiler warning!) are epic.

If you found a childhood diary or journal, would you be willing to share it with the world?
