Safe Trick-or-Treating Hours At Fort Sill For Halloween

This is that time of year where it gets incredibly difficult to decide what to do each weekend because there's just so much happening in Lawton, Oklahoma. Between the local trunk-or-treats, scream parks, haunted houses - there's more than enough options to celebrate Halloween.

Now, let's add some more to the mix! Despite Fort Sill being an army military base, many of the organizations and businesses on base are hosting their own events that are completely open to civilians in Oklahoma.

Trick-or-treating on Fort Sill is also a great, safe way to celebrate the holiday. Bear in mind that Fort Sill's residential trick-or-treating hours this year are on Friday, October 31, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Spooky season events leading up to Halloween night.

Even though government shutdown has put a major damper on some things, the show must go on to keep the good spirits alive!

Here are some of the Halloween-themed events that everyone can enjoy, not just military.

Haunted Clinic at the Reynolds Army Health Clinic is happening:

October 17 & 18
October 24 & 25
October 31 & November 1

Haunted Basement Scare Experience & Movie Marathon at the Patriot Club

Completely open to the public and $10 per person. The movie marathon, hosted by BOSS, immediately after the experience is free to everyone! They'll be playing everyone's Halloween favorite movies.

Zombie Run with the Fort Sill MWR

Get your running shoes on for the the Zombie Run on Saturday, October 25. Runners will leave with a medal, bib, and iconic zombie-themed t-shirt. The top 3 in the Women's and Men's 5K Ruck will receive an additional award. It is $45 per person.

Halloween Golf Night

Things are going to get spooky at the Fort Sill Golf Club for the Halloween Night 2 Person Scramble. Play 9 glowing holes and try to beat the rest of the 24 teams on the event. Players will have to call to register for the special event.

Trick-or-treat on Halloween night

Anyone with a Real I.D. or valid means to access base are welcome to trick-or-treat on Fort Sill in the residential areas. Remember the basic rules and courtesy on Halloween night. Trick-or-treat hours on Fort Sill are 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
