The spirit of giving isn't dimming any time soon in Oklahoma. If there are invididuals or families struggling this month, there are a multitude of ways that southwest Oklahoma families have come to the rescue.

Tonight, Monday, November 10, the owners at the Healthy Hippie are willing to give to those in need in their own way. Starting at 4 p.m., they will be serving a soup dinner that is donation based only and free to those in need.

There are more ways than one to help families in need, and not just by donating money, either. If you need more ideas, get inspired by others below.

Community Table event this Monday evening at the Healthy Hippie Café.

Even if you don't have much to give, you don't need much at all to receive help from the Healthy Hippie staff. This evening, they're serving delicous soup, salad, and warm bread to families and individuals in need.

The event is donation based, so they just as that you pay what you can. It is also "completely free to those in need," so there's no reason to go hungry this evening.

They described the event as part of their Thrive Life Mission. The gathering is meant "to care for our community with dignity, warmth, and good food. Everyone is welcome at the table," they said.

If you're wanting to help families in need during this time of year, there are multiple ways to do so, including sponsoring a Soup Pot with the Healthy Hippie. They are located at 18314 Highway 49 in Medicine Park, Oklahoma.

More significant ways to help Oklahoma families in need.

Since Thanksgiving is quickly approaching, many organizations are putting together Thaknsgiving dinners, baskets, or similar things to serve to families.

For example, Fishy's Friends Animal Rescue and Pampered Pups Grooming is currently hosting a "Stuffed With Love" drive. Their goal is to raise enough money to donate meals to feed at least 25 families, who will be nominated by the community after they've stopped taking donations.

Hungry Hearts Feeding Ministry is also still needing assistance to provide Thanksgiving meals for veterans, homeless, and struggling families. To donate or for more information, click here.
