Having spent so much time at Lake Luggert in SWOK, I know lake homes have always been humble cabins with running hot water and a few window air conditioner units.
When I think about a "lake home," this is what I picture.
After spending even more time at Lake Lawtonka, the definition of "lake home" morphed into travel trailers and tiny marina boat dock homes with porta-potties.
Even to this day, this is a normal view of lakeside living in SWOK...
It's simple and it works for those that can live that lifestyle, but there is another version of lakeside living at some of the larger lakes around Oklahoma.
Between the vista views and amenities like full-on theater rooms made for spending time not on the lake, it's wild to see how the excessively wealthy live on the water.

Add in the gourmet kitchen, screened sunroom, legit theater, and game rooms, an 80-foot observation tower, plus an elevator to ensure everyone can catch a vista-view, this would be a fantastic place to call home or have available for a weekend or two each year.
Oklahoma's Best 4th of July Celebrations
There's nothing like celebrating America's independence in the heartland, and Oklahoma practically overflows with patriotism across the state. While most towns have their own celebrations, some are larger than others. Since it would be hard to catch all of them in one day, they're spread out a bit over two and a half weeks, pick one or more and let your American flag fly.
