For some reason, when you're most craving Chick-fil-A, it's always Sunday and then you realize that you can't get your chicken nuggets because Chick-fil-A is closed! But a recent bill in New York could change all that. So we're asking, could that also change in Oklahoma??

According to Fortune, lawmakers in New York recently "introduced a bill that would require restaurants in state highway system rest areas to operate seven days a week." We all know that Sundays are a no-go for Chick-fil-A. And so much so that Chick-fil-A was specifically mentioned in the legislative materials, but the bill would include Chick-fil-A to be open on Sundays.

Why is Chick-fil-A closed on Sundays?

Being closed on Sundays has been the business's practice since its founding. According to the Chick-fil-A website, its restaurants are closed on Sundays so its workers could have time to rest, spend time with family or "worship if they choose."

Why does New York want Chick-fil-A to open on Sundays?

Now in New York, this is being challenged by lawmakers. According to the bill, this would apply to all Chick-fil-A restaurants located in rest stops that are operated by Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The lawmaker who authored the bill stated that the reasoning for this bill " is meant to give travelers in New York a variety of food options, including healthy foods, at rest stops..."
