Enjoy Oklahoma’s Spectacular Music Festival, Largest in the State
Near central Oklahoma, you'll find music, love and a one-of-a-kind festival experience. The Normal Music Festival, coined the largest music festival in Oklahoma, is worth the trip from out-of-town or out-of-state.
This year, Norman is celebrating 14 years of non-stop blues, jazz, country and other genres of music performed by nearly all Oklahoma artists. This year, Norman is only bringing in 10 acts from out of state - the rest of the over 200 artists this year are all local Okies. Some of the headliners are Tropa Magica, Alvvays, Radkey, Sweeping Promises, Moor Mother and Oklahoma acts Husbands, Jared Deck, Cliffdiver, Ken Pomeroy, Steph Simon, Branjae and Beau Jennings & The Tigers.
This year, there will be four outdoor stages in Norman while several other bars, restaurants and businesses host numerous indoor stages simultaneously. The festival will feature music from 6 p.m. to midnight April 25-26 and 11 a.m. to midnight April 27, with live music continuing until 2 a.m. all three nights on some of the indoor stages.
While also hosting music, the NMF will also be hosting a comedy show Friday night at the Sooner Theatre, with a highlight on Indigenous comics brought to everyone by Tahlequah-based Full Blood Productions. In order to live up to the family-friendly status as well, Norman Music Festival organizers are planning a Kids Fest on the Gray Street Stage from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. In addition, the Norman Lions Club again will set up its annual carnival alongside NMF in downtown.
The festival is completely free to attend; however, there are VIP options ranging from $100 to $300, with VIP access to the main stage, seats, free merch, priority parking and more. Organizers of the festival recommend that attendees be ready to park at a distance and walk over to the event or use ride-share services. Enjoy the experience and take a walk through art in Norman this weekend!
