Summer Temps and Severe Storms Headed to Oklahoma

Spring weather continues to ramp up in Oklahoma! A severe weather day is expected Monday, April 15, after a weekend of summer-like temperatures.

According to the Oklahoma Mesonet, Oklahomans have a few days to prepare for the next round of severe weather to strike the Sooner State. Meteorologists across the state are urging Oklahomans to make their severe weather plans before it's too late.

Before more severe weather moves in to Oklahoma, we'll have a few days of warm weather. If you haven't cleaned out your cellar, this weekend will be the time to do it! Luckily the sun will be out.

According to the National Weather Service in Norman, weekend temperatures will hover around the low to high 80s starting Friday, April 12. Sunday, April 14, is when Oklahoma could see its hottest temperatures for the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service in Norman, all severe weather hazards are expected Monday, April 15, in the late afternoon and evening. Most of Oklahoma is at an enhanced risk for severe weather.
