Top 10 Snobbiest Cities in Oklahoma

It may, or may not surprise you to know that a few towns and cities in Oklahoma are considered to be the snobbiest in the Sooner State. That's not to say these places aren't nice and even friendly. However, it does mean you have a much higher chance of encountering snobbery in these towns and cities than in others. At least that's the perception anyway and perception is reality for most. So what exactly makes them snobby?

A recent report by Roadsnacks.net identified 10 of the snobbiest towns and cities in Oklahoma using some specific criteria. The methodology behind the study used median household incomes, the percentage of the population with college educations, and median home prices in determining just how snobby a town or city is. Most would agree with the results below. Unless you live in one of these places, then you may disagree.

Now before anyone gets upset I'm not calling these places snobby, the internet is. Keep in mind too this was all done in good fun. Sure there's some truth to the findings but like most places, you'll find both good and bad. Most of the towns and cities listed below I've visited and can honestly say I didn't experience a lot, or really any snobbery. Sure most of these locations have a lot of rich people who live there, but that alone doesn't make someone a snob. It's not the cash, home, and car. It's a lack of character that makes a snob.

Of course, you don't run into many snobs in low-income neighborhoods or trailer parks. At least I haven't anyway, they may exist but I've never encountered one in the wild. It's funny though, when you think of snobs you always imagine someone who wears designer clothing, drives a fancy car, and lives in a big expensive house. Which is how this top 10 list came about. It's a top 12 list you don't want to be on. Unfortunately, these 12 towns and cities have been selected as some of the worst and by worst I mean trashiest and sleaziest in the Sooner State. These dirty dozen were selected by Google using factors like crime, violence, drug abuse, unemployment, income rates, and even the overall appearance of the town or city. Oklahoma spends quite a bit of time talking about why we don't like everywhere else. Like Sooner fans and people in Southern OK talk trash on Texas, Northern OK hates Kansas, Eastern OK isn't fond of Arkansas, etc... but what about our own state?
