During the Fourth of July weekend, one of Oklahoma's big towns, Lawton, celebrated our freedom... freedom to behave however we please, apparently.

A video of a large brawl happening at Lake Lawtonka has surfaced and it looks like some general rules of a fight in Oklahoma were broken, but we'll leave it up to you for the final judgement.

Of course, everything here is speculation, as the police ruled the brawl a "mutual combat" and refrained from getting involved.

The Backstory

According to folks involved, an older gentleman was accused of choking a woman at Lake Lawtonka.

When he was confronted, according to sources involved, he retaliated by cutting brake lines and slashing tires of a vehicle belonging to the young man who confronted him.

After damaging the vehicle, sources say he invited the young man over to his campsite to fight, which was captured on video.

Rules of a Brawl or Fight

Typically, in Oklahoma, folks see it unfair to severly hurt a senior, even if they're "asking for it."

Another aspect of "down-home raising" is that you never hit a woman.

However, there are other folks who think that a fighting woman is taking the same stance as a man, so she should be able to handle the same repercussions.

As for punching a senior, some folks say that because he was hurting a woman an hour earlier, he deserved what he had coming.

Last, but not least, we have no way of knowing if the man was legitimately reaching for a gun in the video, despite hearing someone shouting that he was.

However, if you plan on fighting in Oklahoma, the respectful and honorable way of handling things has always been hand-to-hand; yes, it's wise to have a firearm if you ever need it, but generally, you're supposed to handle your business without it.

As stated before, this is all speculation, as there is not an official police report released.
