MacArthur Schools Placed on Lockdown
An 18-year old man has been detained in Lawton after making threats this morning against MacArthur High and Middle Schools.
Classes were delayed at the beginning of the day for both schools after Michael Plume Jr. allegedly sent texts saying he was going to "shoot up" both schools. Plume was arrested by Lawton Police around 10:30 a.m. and classes resumed at both schools.
The apprehension of Plume was reportedly a joint effort of Lawton Public Schools, the Lawton Police Department and Comanche County Sheriffs. All classes and activities at the schools were returned to their normal schedules after the suspect's arrest.
